DESCRIPTION
Vdot Systems' Multifunction Display (MFD) provides real-time embedded computing, graphics rendering, operator controls, and high resolution display for rugged military applications. The Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMCLD) features anti-reflective, anti-glare treatments and a selectable dual-mode backlight that provides sunlight-readable operation for day and NVIS-compatible operation for night. Three external video inputs are available for generating sensor video displays with overlaid graphics. The MIL-erasable solid state drive (SSD) memory is sized to host terrain and map databases for 2D moving maps and 3D synthetic vision. Software and map database updates can be uploaded using a standard USB plug-in memory device. Customers have the option to embed their own or third-party applications into the MFD, or to use Vdot Systems' engineering services for developmental assistance or for supply of turn-key hardware/software/system solutions.
